Obligatory Awkward First Post

So I’m new to this! I have been scouring the Internet looking at many blogs all day for inspiration for an amazing first post, something that is going to put me out there, that is going to make people want to come back and read what I have to say.

One thing I’ve deduced from this research is that most bloggers, no matter what they are blogging about, start off with an awkward post just like this. Why? Well I guess we don’t feel as though we’re entitled to just start writing great, informative posts straight away! We need to earn our right to blog and we have to do this through an initial post explaining who we are and what we want to blog about. Well, I’m Christina. I’m an English Literature and Creative Writing undergraduate, and when my tutor prompted our class to start a blog as a writing outlet I felt quite excited. I like to write, and have always wanted to start a blog. But, to be honest, I have always felt a bit embarrassed about what people might say about what I’m saying! Yesterday I decided to take the plunge and just start, carefree of what others might think (it is now 2016 after all!). So here is my blog about anything, where I quite literally will be blogging about anything that takes my interest. I hope you enjoy what I have to say- please let me know if you do (or don’t) in the comments section of each post.

And if you’ve made it this far, thanks for sticking with me through what will hopefully be the most boring post I’ll write. I hope to be more interesting from here on out…
